Giles Corey in Philadelphia

Giles Corey is the solo project of American musician Dan Barrett, a Glastonbury, Connecticut artist who is also one half of Have a Nice Life. He began the project as an outlet for country music, and folk later became another influence, citing Hank Williams, Johnny Cash and Merle Haggard. The self-titled Giles Corey appeared in 2011 accompanied by a book; later releases include Deconstructionist and Hinterkaifeck. Live in the Middle of Nowhere documents a Giles Corey performance at the Enemies List Home Recordings warehouse in Meriden, Connecticut. Giles Corey has played Hamden repeatedly and has also performed in Raleigh and Providence.
