Giovanni Truppi is an Italian singer-songwriter and musician, born in Naples in 1981. His songs draw on the cantautore tradition, rock and piano-led arrangements. His catalogue includes the albums C’è un me dentro di me, Poesia e civiltà and Infinite possibilità per esseri finiti, as well as the song “Tuo padre, mia madre, Lucia.”

At the 2022 Sanremo Music Festival, he performed “Tuo padre, mia madre, Lucia” in the main competition. During the cover-song night, he was joined by Vinicio Capossela for Fabrizio De André’s “Nella mia ora di libertà.”
