Artist
Godiego is a Japanese rock band formed in 1975, known for melodic rock and pop songs that often use both English and Japanese lyrics. The group recorded “Monkey Magic” and “Gandhara” for the television drama Saiyuki, as well as the theme song for the animated film Galaxy Express 999. In 1980, Godiego performed in China and then travelled to Nepal for an outdoor concert in Kathmandu. After disbanding in 1985, the musicians reunited for concerts in 1999 and re-formed the group in 2006. Keyboardist Mickie Yoshino took part in the reunion.
