Gorillaz in Salt Lake City

Gorillaz are a British virtual band created in 1998 by musician Damon Albarn and artist Jamie Hewlett. The project presents the fictional members 2-D, Murdoc Niccals, Noodle and Russel Hobbs, while its music draws on alternative pop, rock, electronic music and hip-hop. Albums including Gorillaz, Demon Days and Plastic Beach produced signature songs such as “Clint Eastwood,” “Feel Good Inc.” and “DARE.” Demon Days Live was staged at Manchester Opera House in 2005 and New York’s Apollo Theater in 2006, using a large musical ensemble and guest vocalists. Gorillaz headlined Glastonbury Festival in 2010 before taking the Escape to Plastic Beach World Tour through arenas. Their later arena runs included the Humanz Tour and the Song Machine Tour.
