Grant-Lee Phillips in Aalborg

Grant-Lee Phillips is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist, born in Stockton, California, who first became known as the frontman of alternative-rock trio Grant Lee Buffalo. The group recorded songs including “Fuzzy” and “Mockingbirds,” while his solo catalogue moved toward folk and Americana on albums such as Virginia Creeper and Little Moon. In 1995, Grant Lee Buffalo opened for R.E.M. on dates of the Monster tour, including arena shows. After the trio ended, he toured his solo records in clubs and theatres, and the group reunited for concerts in 2011. Many of his solo concerts center on voice and acoustic guitar, drawing on songs from both phases of Grant-Lee Phillips’s career.
