Gregorian in Hamburg

Gregorian is a German music project founded by producer Frank Peterson in 1991. Since the album Masters of Chant, the group has become known for recasting rock and pop songs in a style built around chant-inspired male choral singing, orchestral textures and rock instrumentation. Its repertoire includes versions of “The Sound of Silence,” “Nothing Else Matters” and “Join Me,” as well as the original song “Moment of Peace.” The first Masters of Chant tour followed in 2001, establishing a concert format that places the male choir alongside a rock band and female vocalists. Successive chapters of the album series supplied material for further European tours, and the project presented a farewell production under the Final Chapter Tour name in 2016. Gregorian later returned to the road for the anniversary production 20/2020.
