Haddaway & Dr. Alban in Riga

Haddaway is a Trinidadian-German singer born in Port of Spain in 1965, best known for the Eurodance hit “What Is Love.” Released in 1993, the song appeared on his debut record, The Album, alongside “Life” and “Rock My Heart.” At Barcelona’s Love the 90’s festival in 2017, Haddaway performed at Palau Sant Jordi as part of a multi-artist Eurodance concert. Two years later, he appeared at the Die 90er Live arena show in Gelsenkirchen, held at Veltins-Arena.

Dr. Alban is a Nigerian-Swedish singer, rapper and producer, born Alban Uzoma Nwapa in 1957, who makes Eurodance with reggae and dancehall elements. He is best known for “It’s My Life” and “Sing Hallelujah,” both from the album One Love; his early releases also included “Hello Afrika” and “No Coke.” Dr. Alban performed at Avtoradio’s Diskoteka 80-kh festival at Moscow’s Olimpiyskiy arena as part of his later work at multi-artist 1990s revival concerts. He also performed “It’s My Life” and “Sing Hallelujah” at Legends of Retro FM.
