Hamilton Leithauser is an American singer-songwriter born in Washington, D.C., best known as the lead singer of New York indie-rock band The Walkmen. His solo work includes the album Black Hours and I Had a Dream That You Were Mine, recorded with Rostam, which produced the songs “A 1000 Times” and “In a Black Out.” In 2014, Hamilton Leithauser toured behind Black Hours and opened dates for Spoon. He later played a run of concerts with Rostam behind I Had a Dream That You Were Mine. He also held a residency at New York’s Café Carlyle.
Rostam is an American musician, songwriter and producer born in Washington, D.C., in 1983. He was a founding member of Vampire Weekend and helped make the band’s first three albums as a multi-instrumentalist and producer. His work under his own name includes the albums Half-Light and Changephobia, while I Had a Dream That You Were Mine paired him with Hamilton Leithauser. In 2018, Rostam toured North America in support of Half-Light, singing and moving between guitar and keyboards in a full-band show. The itinerary also brought that set to Coachella and Chicago’s Pitchfork Music Festival.
