Hayden Thorpe in Cardiff

Hayden Thorpe is an English singer, songwriter and keyboard player from Kendal, Cumbria, best known as a co-founder and co-lead vocalist of the art-pop band Wild Beasts. After the group disbanded, he began his solo career with the piano-led album Diviner, followed by Moondust for My Diamond and Ness, a song cycle drawing on words by Robert Macfarlane. In 2018, Hayden Thorpe completed Wild Beasts’ farewell tour at the Eventim Apollo in London. The Diviner concerts that followed centred on Hayden Thorpe at the piano, singing with spare electronic accompaniment.
