Hellbillies in Fredrikstad

Hellbillies are a Norwegian country-rock band formed in Ål in Hallingdal in 1990. They sing in the Hallingdal dialect, and their early repertoire included local-language adaptations of American country songs. Their best-known recordings include “Ei krasafaren steinbu” and “Den finast eg veit,” while albums such as Sylvspente boots and Pela stein helped define their catalogue. The 1997 concert album Live Laga documented Hellbillies’ stage repertoire after years of touring Norway. In 2010, the band marked two decades with the 20 år på vegen tour and a concert at Oslo Spektrum.
