Jan Eggum in Fredrikstad

Jan Eggum is a Norwegian singer-songwriter and guitarist, born in Bergen in 1951. Working in the Norwegian vise tradition and acoustic folk-pop, he made his album debut with Trubadur and is known for songs including “En natt forbi,” “Kor e alle helter hen?” and “På’an igjen.” In 1988, Jan Eggum became part of Gitarkameratene, whose self-titled first album was recorded live at Grieghallen. Alongside the quartet’s Norwegian tours, he maintained a solo concert format centred on voice, guitar and his own songs. The group returned for concerts and the live album Kanon! in 2010, again bringing him together with Lillebjørn Nilsen, Halvdan Sivertsen and Øystein Sunde.
