Artist
Herbert Pixner Projekt is a South Tyrolean quartet formed by multi-instrumentalist Herbert Pixner in 2005. The group plays Alpine folk music shaped by jazz, rock and improvisation, using diatonic accordion, clarinet, trumpet, harp, guitars and double bass. Its recordings include Bauern_tschäss, Na und?!, Lost Elysion and Schian!. Herbert Pixner Projekt has taken this repertoire through concert halls, theatres and open-air festivals in Italy, Austria, Germany and Switzerland. The established quartet brings together Heidi Pixner on Tyrolean harp, Manuel Randi on guitars, Werner Unterlercher on double bass and Herbert Pixner on accordion, clarinet and trumpet.
