About Homayoun Shajarian
Homayoun Shajarian is an Iranian singer born in Tehran in 1975, known for Persian classical and traditional music. The son of vocalist Mohammad-Reza Shajarian, he trained in singing and tombak before establishing a solo catalogue that includes the albums Nasim-e Vasl and Neither Angel Nor Devil; the latter features the widely recognized song “Chera Rafti.”
During the 1990s, he began appearing in his father’s concerts as a vocalist and tombak player, later developing his own concert work in Iran and abroad. In 2017 he took the lead vocal role in Si, a music-theatre production staged at Tehran’s Sa’dabad Palace and based on stories from the Shahnameh, with music by Sohrab Pournazeri.
