About HTRK
HTRK are an Australian experimental rock band formed in Melbourne in 2003 by Jonnine Standish, Nigel Yang and Sean Stewart. Their sparse post-punk combines electronic rhythms, guitar noise and dub-influenced low end. The group is known for the albums Marry Me Tonight, Work (work, work), Psychic 9-5 Club, Venus in Leo and Rhinestones. After Stewart’s death in 2010, Standish and Yang continued as a duo.
In 2008, HTRK supported Liars on a European tour and subsequently performed at All Tomorrow’s Parties in Britain. Their first concert following Stewart’s death took place later in 2010 at London’s Institute of Contemporary Arts, as part of a tribute to Rowland S. Howard.
