Ikuyo Nakamichi in Gifu

Ikuyo Nakamichi is a Japanese classical pianist, born in Hamamatsu in 1963. She is known especially for her interpretations of Beethoven, and her discography includes a complete recording of his piano sonatas; Mozart and Chopin also feature prominently in her repertoire. Nakamichi has performed the complete Beethoven piano-sonata cycle in a long-running series of recitals in Japan. She later launched The Road to 2027, a recital project exploring Beethoven and related piano literature through performances in Tokyo.
