Ikuzo Yoshi in Yokosuka

Ikuzo Yoshi is a Japanese singer-songwriter, born in 1952 in Aomori Prefecture, whose music includes enka, kayōkyoku and comic songs in the Tsugaru dialect. He is known for the 1984 song “Ora Tōkyō sa Iguda” and the enka ballads “Yukiguni” and “Sake yo.” In 1986, Ikuzo Yoshi performed “Yukiguni” at NHK Hall during the Kōhaku Uta Gassen. He returned for later editions of the year-end broadcast, where his repertoire included “Sake yo.”
