James Carter in Istanbul

James Carter is an American jazz saxophonist, born in Detroit in 1969, whose music ranges across post-bop, free jazz and organ-group traditions. He plays several members of the saxophone family and is known for albums including Jurassic Classics, The Real Quietstorm and Chasin’ the Gypsy. The James Carter Organ Trio documented its club performances on Live at Baker’s Keyboard Lounge, recorded in Detroit. The group later marked a decade together with At the Crossroads, a live recording made at the Blue Note in New York.
