About James Leg

James Leg is the recording name of American singer and keyboard player John Wesley Myers. He plays organ-driven punk blues shaped by garage rock, soul and gospel, and is known for his work with Black Diamond Heavies and the solo albums Solitary Pleasure, Below the Belt and Blood on the Keys.

James Leg toured as the singer and keyboard player of Black Diamond Heavies before taking his solo catalogue on the road. His solo concerts have commonly used a compact keyboard-and-drums lineup, built around distorted organ, forceful vocals and a live drummer.

His performances outside the United States have included Belgium’s Sjock Festival and Spain’s Azkena Rock Festival.
