James Maddock in Montclair

James Maddock is an English singer-songwriter from Leicester who made New York his base, writing folk rock and Americana marked by a weathered vocal style. He first became known as the frontman of Wood, whose album Songs from Stamford Hill included “Stay You,” a song featured on the Dawson’s Creek soundtrack. His solo catalogue includes Sunrise on Avenue C and Another Life. Live at Rockwood Music Hall documented Maddock performing with his band in the intimate club setting central to much of his stage work. He has also played listening rooms including City Winery and has returned repeatedly to the Light of Day benefit concerts in Asbury Park.
