Three Dog Night in Westbury

Three Dog Night is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1967. Built around vocalists Danny Hutton, Cory Wells and Chuck Negron, the group became known for pop-rock arrangements of songs by writers including Randy Newman, Hoyt Axton and Laura Nyro. Its best-known recordings include “Joy to the World,” “Mama Told Me Not to Come,” “One,” “Black and White” and “Shambala.” The band recorded Captured Live at the Forum at the Los Angeles Forum in 1969, documenting its original seven-member lineup in an arena setting. After disbanding in 1976, Three Dog Night reunited in 1981 and resumed performing in theatres, casinos and at fairs across the United States. The touring lineup presents the catalogue as a full rock band led by founding vocalist Danny Hutton.

Chris Trapper is an American singer-songwriter and the frontman of the Boston rock band The Push Stars. His music draws on folk-pop and melodic rock, and he is known for “This Time,” written for the film August Rush, as well as Push Stars songs including “Everything Shines” and “Minnesota.” His solo albums include Songs from the Middle of the World and The Few & the Far Between. Chris Trapper has performed both with The Push Stars and as a solo acoustic artist. He documented his solo format on Live at the Rockwood Music Hall, recorded at the New York club, while his Holiday Extravaganza concerts have been presented in the seated listening-room setting of City Winery Boston.
