About James McVey
James McVey is a British singer, songwriter and guitarist, best known as the lead guitarist of pop-rock band The Vamps. The group’s catalogue includes “Can We Dance,” “Somebody to You” and “All Night,” while his solo work includes the EP Letters Home and the song “Dancing on the Head of a Needle.”
The Meet the Vamps Tour took him into UK arenas as part of the band, followed by runs including the Night & Day Tour and the Greatest Hits Tour. In 2024 he moved into intimate venues for the Letters Home Tour, his first headline run under the name James McVey.
