About Jan Böhmermann
Jan Böhmermann is a German satirist, television presenter, comedian and musician, born in Bremen in 1981. He is known for the programmes Neo Magazin Royale and ZDF Magazin Royale, the song “Ich hab Polizei” under the name POL1Z1STENS0HN, and political pieces including his satirical poem about Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Jan Böhmermann took the television house band Rundfunk-Tanzorchester Ehrenfeld on the Ehrenfeld ist überall tour, then returned with the ensemble for Ehrenfeld Intergalactic. These concert shows combined his monologues and comic songs with arrangements performed by the full band.
The ensemble also performed at the paired German festivals Rock am Ring and Rock im Park.
