Jan Delay in Timmendorfer Strand

Jan Delay is a German singer and rapper from Hamburg, born in 1976. A member of the hip-hop group Beginner, he developed a solo catalogue that moves through reggae, funk, soul and rock. His best-known releases include the albums Searching for the Jan Soul Rebels, Mercedes-Dance and Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Soul, as well as the songs “Klar” and “Oh Jonny.” For concerts around Searching for the Jan Soul Rebels, Jan Delay performed with Sam Ragga Band. He established Disko No. 1 during the Mercedes-Dance era and retained the full band for subsequent tours, including shows built around Hammer & Michel and Earth, Wind & Feiern. Jan Delay and Disko No. 1 have also performed at Rock am Ring and Rock im Park.
