Jesca Hoop is an American singer-songwriter from Santa Rosa, California, who writes indie folk and alternative pop. Her catalogue includes the albums Kismet, Hunting My Dress and Memories Are Now, as well as Love Letter for Fire, a collection of duets recorded with Sam Beam. After settling in Manchester, Jesca Hoop supported Elbow on a UK arena tour. She later toured as a duo with Sam Beam, performing material from Love Letter for Fire, and the pair also appeared together for NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert.
Nadia Reid is a New Zealand singer-songwriter whose music centres on folk, restrained rock arrangements and close, narrative writing. She became known through the albums Listen to Formation, Look for the Signs, Preservation and Out of My Province, with songs including “Call the Days,” “Richard” and “The Arrow and the Aim.” Reid toured New Zealand, Britain, Europe and North America behind Preservation, playing headline dates in clubs and theatres as well as festivals. During that album cycle she performed at Green Man in Wales and End of the Road in Dorset.
