Jesse Cook in Sherbrooke

Jesse Cook is a Canadian guitarist and composer, born in Paris in 1964 and raised in Toronto, who plays instrumental nuevo flamenco shaped by Latin and world-music traditions. His recordings include the albums Tempest, Gravity and Free Fall, as well as the widely recognized piece “Mario Takes a Walk.” Jesse Cook performed at the Catalina Island JazzTrax Festival in 1995 during the release period for Tempest. His touring ensemble has featured nylon-string guitar, violin, bass and percussion. The concert film One Night at the Metropolis documented this format at Montreal’s Métropolis.
