Jim James in Chicago

Jim James is an American singer-songwriter, guitarist and producer, born in Louisville, Kentucky, in 1978. He is the vocalist, frontman and principal songwriter of My Morning Jacket, and has also performed with Monsters of Folk and the New Basement Tapes. His solo catalogue includes the George Harrison covers EP Tribute To and the albums Regions of Light and Sound of God, Eternally Even and Uniform Distortion. Jim James fronted My Morning Jacket at a sold-out Somerset House concert in London and during the band’s four-hour headline set at Bonnaroo in 2008. He later performed The Order of Nature, co-written with Teddy Abrams, with the Louisville Orchestra.
