About Joan Miquel Oliver
Joan Miquel Oliver is a Spanish singer-songwriter and guitarist from Sóller, Mallorca, born in 1974. He is best known as the guitarist and principal songwriter of Antònia Font, while his solo work extends the group’s imaginative Catalan-language pop through albums including Surfistes en càmera lenta, Bombón Mallorquín and Pegasus.
After Antònia Font’s farewell concerts in 2013, Oliver concentrated on his solo catalogue and toured behind Pegasus. Further concert runs followed the releases of Atlantis and Elektra, taking his songs into clubs, theatres and festivals across the Catalan-speaking music circuit.
His solo concerts have featured his voice and guitar in a trio completed by keyboardist Jaume Manresa and drummer Xarli Oliver.
