About Joe Lynn Turner
Joe Lynn Turner is an American hard-rock singer, born in Hackensack, New Jersey, in 1951. He became widely known as Rainbow’s lead vocalist in the early 1980s, singing on “I Surrender,” “Stone Cold” and “Street of Dreams.” His catalogue also includes Yngwie Malmsteen’s album Odyssey, Deep Purple’s Slaves and Masters and solo records such as Rescue You.
He toured internationally with Rainbow behind Difficult to Cure, Straight Between the Eyes and Bent Out of Shape. He later joined Yngwie Malmsteen for the Odyssey tour, then fronted Deep Purple on the world tour supporting Slaves and Masters.
His solo concerts feature a full rock band and material drawn from his own records as well as songs he recorded with Rainbow and Deep Purple.
