Joey Cape is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist, best known as the lead vocalist and principal songwriter of California punk band Lagwagon and as a member of Bad Astronaut. His catalogue includes the Lagwagon songs “May 16” and “Violins,” while his solo albums include Bridge, Doesn’t Play Well with Others and Stitch Puppy.

In 2004, Joey Cape and No Use for a Name singer Tony Sly released the split album Acoustic and toured together. He later joined Sly, Jon Snodgrass and Brian Wahlstrom in the acoustic group Scorpios, bringing four songwriters into the same concert format. His solo sets centre on voice and acoustic guitar, drawing on his own records as well as songs by Lagwagon and Bad Astronaut.
