About John Mayer
John Mayer is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist, born in 1977, who plays acoustic pop-rock, blues and soul. His best-known work includes the albums Room for Squares, Heavier Things and Continuum, and the songs “Your Body Is a Wonderland,” “Daughters,” “Waiting on the World to Change” and “Gravity.”
The 2002 tour supporting Room for Squares produced the live album Any Given Thursday, recorded in Birmingham, Alabama. In 2007 he filmed Where the Light Is at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, dividing the concert among an acoustic set, the John Mayer Trio and his full band.
