Johnny Flynn is a British singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and actor, born in Johannesburg and raised in the United Kingdom. He leads Johnny Flynn & The Sussex Wit, playing folk and indie folk shaped by acoustic instrumentation. His best-known recordings include the albums A Larum, Country Mile and Sillion, the Laura Marling duet “The Water” and “Detectorists,” the theme song for the television series of the same name. A 2018 London concert was released as Live at the Roundhouse, documenting his full-band stage format and his use of guitar, violin and trumpet. He has also performed with the band at Glastonbury Festival and End of the Road Festival.
