Jon Gomm in Leeds

Jon Gomm is a British singer-songwriter and acoustic guitarist from Blackpool, known for percussive fingerstyle playing that combines tapping, altered tunings, harmonics and vocals. His best-known piece is “Passionflower,” and his albums include Hypertension, Secrets Nobody Keeps and The Faintest Idea. Jon Gomm developed his solo act through years of pub and club performances around Leeds. After “Passionflower” found a wide online audience, he took that repertoire on independent tours through the UK and across Europe, later performing in countries including Australia, Canada and China. His concerts center on voice and acoustic guitar, which he uses to carry melody, bass lines and drum-like percussion within the same arrangement.
