José Maria Napoleón in Oaxaca City

José María Napoleón is a Mexican singer-songwriter, born in Aguascalientes in 1948, whose work centers on romantic Latin pop and narrative ballads. Known as “El Poeta de la Canción,” he wrote and recorded songs including “Vive,” “Pajarillo,” “Hombre,” “Celos” and “Ella se llamaba Martha.” The Hasta Siempre farewell tour has framed his later concert work as a survey of songs from across his career.
