About Joyous Celebration
Joyous Celebration is a South African gospel ensemble founded in 1994 by Lindelani Mkhize, Jabu Hlongwane and Mthunzi Namba. A large choir supported by a live band, it is known for its numbered concert-album series and songs including “Hallelujah Nkateko,” “My God Is Good” and “Wenzile.”
Joyous Celebration 15 was recorded and filmed at Durban’s ICC Arena in 2011. The series later marked its 20th instalment at Moses Mabhida Stadium, and the next release, Joyous Celebration 21: Heal Our Land, was recorded at The Potter’s House in Dallas.
