Juan Wauters in Buenos Aires

Juan Wauters is a Uruguayan singer-songwriter and guitarist, born in Montevideo and based in New York. He first became known as the frontman of the Queens indie band The Beets, then established a solo catalogue of conversational folk and indie pop through albums including North American Poetry, Who Me?, La Onda de Juan Pablo, Real Life Situations and Wandering Rebel. In 2019, Wauters performed material from La Onda de Juan Pablo on dates across the United States, Europe and Latin America. During that album cycle, he also presented its Spanish- and English-language songs in an NPR Tiny Desk Concert.
