Jupiter & Okwess Tickets & 2026–2027 Tour Dates

Jupiter & Okwess are a Congolese band led by singer Jupiter Bokondji in Kinshasa. They play rock and funk shaped by rhythms from across the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The documentary Jupiter’s Dance introduced Bokondji and the city’s music scene to a wider audience, while the band’s key albums include Hotel Univers, Kin Sonic and Na Kozonga.

Jupiter & Okwess played Glastonbury Festival in 2013 during the period around Hotel Univers. Their international live work later included a 2018 Tiny Desk Concert at NPR, where interlocking electric guitars and percussion drove the set.

The band has also performed at WOMAD and Roskilde Festival. Its concert lineup centers on guitars, bass, drums and percussion behind the lead voice of Jupiter Bokondji.
