About Pierre Kwenders
Pierre Kwenders is a Congolese-Canadian singer, rapper and songwriter, born in Kinshasa and based in Montreal. He makes electronic Afropop shaped by hip-hop and Congolese dance music. His albums include Le Dernier Empereur Bantou, MAKANDA at the End of Space, the Beginning of Time and José Louis and the Paradox of Love, which won the Polaris Music Prize.
Pierre Kwenders has performed at Glastonbury Festival and WOMAD. His Canadian festival appearances have also included Osheaga.
