Kamaal Williams in Barcelona

Kamaal Williams is a British keyboardist, composer and producer from London who plays rhythm-driven contemporary jazz and funk. He first became widely known through Yussef Kamaal, his duo with drummer Yussef Dayes, and the album Black Focus. His solo catalogue includes The Return, Wu Hen and Stings; he has also released electronic music as Henry Wu. In 2018, Kamaal Williams presented material from The Return in a live session for Boiler Room and performed at NPR’s Tiny Desk in Washington, D.C. His concerts are built around keyboards, bass and drums, a format he also brought to Dekmantel Festival in Amsterdam.
