About Karen Zoid
Karen Zoid is a South African rock singer-songwriter, born in Brussels in 1978. Her debut album, Poles Apart, introduced “Afrikaners Is Plesierig,” while later songs include “Small Room” and the Francois van Coke duet “Toe Vind Ek Jou.”
In 2005, Karen Zoid performed at the 46664 concert at Fancourt in George, part of Nelson Mandela’s HIV/AIDS awareness campaign. Her concert history also includes performances at Oppikoppi and the Klein Karoo Nasionale Kunstefees in Oudtshoorn.
