Kari Bremnes in Narvik

Kari Bremnes is a Norwegian singer-songwriter, born in Svolvær in 1956, who writes pop songs with folk and jazz inflections. She represented Norway at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1987 with “Mitt liv”; her best-known work also includes “E du nord,” “A Lover in Berlin” and the albums Svarta Bjørn and Norwegian Mood. The live album Reise documents her repertoire in a full-band concert setting. She has toured extensively in Norway and Germany, playing theatres and concert halls in Oslo and Hamburg.
