Karina Rykman is an American bassist, singer and songwriter based in New York, known for her work in keyboardist Marco Benevento’s trio and for her own funk-driven psychedelic rock. Her 2023 debut album, Joyride, includes the title track featuring Trey Anastasio. In 2016, Karina Rykman joined Marco Benevento’s touring trio, establishing a live career rooted in improvisational rock. Her own trio later supported Khruangbin at Radio City Music Hall and performed at Bonnaroo and The Peach Music Festival.
