Kasia Kowalska in Frankfurt am Main

Kasia Kowalska is a Polish rock and pop singer-songwriter, born in 1973, who became known through her debut album, Gemini. Her catalogue includes the songs “Prowadź mnie,” “Coś optymistycznego” and “Antidotum”; she also represented Poland at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1996 with “Chcę znać swój grzech.” The 1995 album Koncert inaczej documented an early live treatment of her repertoire. She later returned to Gemini for anniversary concerts, including a tour marking the album’s 25th anniversary. In 2019, she recorded an acoustic retrospective for Kasia Kowalska MTV Unplugged at the Gdańsk Shakespeare Theatre.
