Katy Perry is an American pop singer and songwriter, born in Santa Barbara in 1984. The album One of the Boys introduced songs including “I Kissed a Girl” and “Hot n Cold,” while Teenage Dream produced “California Gurls,” “Firework” and the title track. Her later hits include “Roar” and “Dark Horse.” On the 2009 Hello Katy Tour, she performed in clubs and theatres. She played arenas on the California Dreams Tour and the Prismatic World Tour, then returned to that circuit for Witness: The Tour. In 2021, she opened the Play residency at Resorts World Theatre in Las Vegas, a show built around oversized household objects and pop-art sets. Her arena tours have reached Madison Square Garden in New York and the O2 in London. She also performed the Super Bowl XLIX halftime show at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale.
