KC & The Sunshine Band is an American disco and funk group formed in 1973 in Hialeah, Florida, by Harry Wayne Casey and Richard Finch. The band became known for dance records including “Get Down Tonight,” “That’s the Way (I Like It),” “(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty,” “Boogie Shoes” and “Please Don’t Go.” Harry Wayne Casey re-formed the group in 1991 and resumed touring in theatres, casino showrooms and at outdoor festivals. The touring show is performed by a full band, including a horn section and multiple vocalists. In 2019, the group appeared on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury Festival.
