Kerry Ellis in Stockton-on-Tees

Kerry Ellis is an English singer and musical-theatre performer from Suffolk. She is best known for playing Elphaba in the West End and Broadway productions of Wicked and for originating the role of Meat in the London production of We Will Rock You. Her recorded work includes Anthems and Golden Days, both created in collaboration with Queen guitarist Brian May. At the Dominion Theatre in 2002, Ellis began her run in We Will Rock You before later leading Wicked at London’s Apollo Victoria Theatre and New York’s Gershwin Theatre. Her concert partnership with May developed through the acoustic Born Free Tour and the later One Voice Tour.
