Khaled is an Algerian raï singer from Oran, born Khaled Hadj Ibrahim in 1960 and known earlier in his career as Cheb Khaled. His best-known recordings include “Didi,” “Aïcha” and “C’est la vie,” while albums such as Khaled and Sahra carried his Arabic- and French-language songs to a broad pop audience.

In 1998, Khaled joined Rachid Taha and Faudel for the 1, 2, 3 Soleils concert at the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy, a performance later issued as a live album. In 2010, he performed “Didi” at the FIFA World Cup Kick-Off Celebration Concert at Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg.
