About Killing Joke

Killing Joke are a British rock band formed in London in 1978 by Jaz Coleman, Geordie Walker, Youth and Paul Ferguson. Their music draws on post-punk, industrial rock and heavy metal, heard across albums including Killing Joke, Night Time and Pandemonium. “Wardance,” “Requiem,” “Eighties” and “Love Like Blood” are among their best-known songs.

In 1980, Killing Joke toured the UK with Joy Division as both bands were establishing their live reputations. The original lineup reunited for a world tour in 2008, including two nights at the Forum devoted to material from four albums. In 2023, the band brought songs from its early records to the concert-hall setting of the Royal Albert Hall.
