About New Model Army
New Model Army are an English rock band formed in Bradford in 1980 around singer and guitarist Justin Sullivan. Their post-punk, punk and folk-rock catalogue includes the albums No Rest for the Wicked and Thunder and Consolation, and songs such as “Vagabonds,” “51st State” and “Green and Grey.”
For their 30th anniversary in 2010, New Model Army played two-night retrospective concerts at the HMV Forum in London, drawing sets from across their recorded catalogue. In 2022 they presented Sinfonia at Berlin’s Tempodrom, performing arrangements of their songs with the Sinfonia Leipzig orchestra.
Their recurring Christmas concerts have brought them back to the club room at Rock City in Nottingham, while European dates have also taken the band to Amsterdam’s Paradiso.
