King's X in Chicago

King's X is an American rock trio formed in Springfield, Missouri, in 1979. The long-standing lineup of Dug Pinnick, Ty Tabor and Jerry Gaskill plays progressive hard rock marked by heavy riffs, funk-inflected bass and three-part vocal harmonies. The band is known for the albums Gretchen Goes to Nebraska, Faith Hope Love and Dogman, and for songs including “Over My Head” and “It's Love.” A 1991 performance at The Channel in Boston was later released as Burning Down Boston: Live at The Channel 6.12.91. The trio went on to perform at Woodstock '94, then documented another phase of its touring on Live Love in London, recorded at the Electric Ballroom.
