Kyary Pamyu Pamyu in Tokyo

Kyary Pamyu Pamyu is a Japanese pop singer and model from Tokyo, born in 1993 and closely associated with Harajuku fashion. Working with producer Yasutaka Nakata, she became known for brightly electronic songs and surreal visual concepts, particularly “PONPONPON,” “Fashion Monster” and “Ninja Re Bang Bang.” Her early releases include the album Pamyu Pamyu Revolution. The 100% KPP World Tour began in 2013 and took her stage production to London, New York and other cities outside Japan. She followed it with the Nanda Collection World Tour in 2014 and the Five Years Monster World Tour in 2016, then performed at Coachella in 2022.
